B2B buying signals, and where to find them in Singapore
Each signal is a change at a company that makes your offer relevant right now. For every one we explain what it means, how strong it is, which source carries it and how fast to act.
In short: Twenty B2B buying signals, from contract awards and new licences to funding and hiring, with where to find each one in Singapore and how quickly to act.

Champion job change
Someone who bought from you, or championed you internally, has joined a new company. They already know your work and may face the same problem in their new role.
GovernmentGeBIZ contract award
A company has just won a Singapore government contract and must now deliver it, which often means buying equipment, services, staff or subcontract work.
InboundInbound enquiry
Someone has contacted you through your website, email, phone or messaging to ask about what you sell. They have told you they are interested; the risk is replying too slowly.
GovernmentNew GeBIZ tender or quotation
A government agency has published a tender or quotation on GeBIZ. You may be able to bid yourself, or sell to the companies who will.
GovernmentBCA contractor registration or grade upgrade
A construction firm has newly registered with BCA's Contractors Registration System, or moved up a grade. Either can mean new work, new hires and new suppliers.
Company registryDirector or officer change
A Singapore company has appointed or removed a director, secretary or other officer. New people in charge often review how things are done and who supplies them.
InboundEvent attendance
Someone registered for and attended your webinar or event, or stopped at your booth. They have shown interest in the topic, usually earlier in the buying process than an enquiry.
FundingFunding round
A company has announced new investment, which usually comes with growth plans, new hires and a fresh look at the systems and suppliers it will need.
FundingGovernment grant or programme project
A company has publicly joined a government-backed programme or announced a grant-supported project, which means a funded plan with a timeline and things to buy.
PeopleHiring for a relevant role
A company is advertising a role that owns the problem you solve, such as its first procurement or facilities manager, which often comes before new tools and suppliers.
LicensingMAS licence granted
A firm has appeared in the MAS Financial Institutions Directory with a new licence, such as a payment institution or fund manager, and now has to operate to regulatory standards.
GrowthMerger or acquisition
A company has acquired, merged with or been bought by another, which often leads to integration projects and a review of systems, processes and suppliers.
Company registryNew company registration
A new entity has been registered with ACRA. New companies have a short list of things every business must set up, and some will buy from whoever reaches them first.
GrowthNew office or expansion
A company is opening a new site, warehouse, plant, outlet or regional headquarters, which needs fit-out, equipment, services, systems and staff.
LicensingNew regulated licence
A business has appeared on a regulator's public register, such as CEA's estate agent register or MOM's employment agency directory. New licensees have set-up and compliance needs.
InboundPricing page visit
People are viewing your pricing, comparison or case study pages. In aggregate this shows demand; for a known contact who has agreed to tracking, it suggests active evaluation.
PeopleSenior leader appointment
A company has appointed a new head of operations, sales, finance, IT or another function, who is likely to review processes and suppliers in their first months.
GovernmentGeBIZ indicative procurement plan
Agencies publish an indicative list of purchases they may make in the year ahead. It is an early warning, not a confirmed need, so use it to plan rather than to pitch.
GrowthProduct launch
A company is launching a new product, brand, service or market, which may need distributors, marketing, compliance help, packaging, logistics or support.
Company registryRegistered address change
A company has changed its registered office address with ACRA. Sometimes that means a real move with fit-out and set-up needs. Often it means very little.
