GeBIZ contract award

A company has just won a Singapore government contract and must now deliver it, which often means buying equipment, services, staff or subcontract work.

In short: Contact the winning company within one to two weeks of an award, while it is still lining up suppliers for delivery. MOF's free GeBIZ dataset on data.gov.sg names the supplier, agency and awarded amount but lags by months, so check GeBIZ weekly for recent awards.

What this signal means

A government agency has awarded a contract to a named company through GeBIZ, Singapore’s government e-procurement portal. The company now has confirmed work, a scope and a value, and it has to deliver what it promised.

For a supplier, the award tells you three useful things at once: who won, what they must deliver and roughly how big the job is. That is enough to judge whether your product or service has a part to play in delivery.

Why it predicts a purchase

Winning a contract creates a delivery plan, and delivery plans create purchases. A cleaning contract for new sites needs machines and consumables. A building maintenance contract may need specialist trades. A large service contract may need more staff, uniforms, transport or training. A company that has won its first government job may also need to tidy up its own systems, such as project tracking or documentation.

The award does not mean the winner needs you. Many winners have done similar work before and already have partners. What it gives you is a timely, specific reason to introduce yourself, which is the point of any buying signal.

Where to find it in Singapore

  • Government Procurement via GeBIZ on data.gov.sg. Published by the Ministry of Finance and free under the Singapore Open Data Licence. The listing describes it as open tenders put out by government agencies since FY2021. Each row has the tender number, description, agency, award date, award status, supplier name and awarded amount. It is not real time: when we checked in October 2026, coverage ran to 31 March 2026 and the last update was 26 April 2026.
  • GeBIZ business opportunities. Free to search. MOF’s summarised supplier guide says current opportunities and the award status of past opportunities closed in the past six months can be found on the GeBIZ website, and that registered GeBIZ Trading Partners can obtain detailed information on tender and quotation awards. Use GeBIZ for awards newer than the dataset and for quotations, which the dataset does not cover.

Our free GeBIZ award finder searches the data.gov.sg dataset by keyword, so you can see which companies have won work in your field.

How to monitor it

  1. List 10 to 20 keywords that would appear in the title of a contract that creates demand for what you sell.
  2. Search the dataset by those keywords, using the award finder or a CSV download. Filter out rows marked “Awarded to No Suppliers”, which show the supplier as “Unknown”.
  3. Check GeBIZ weekly for recent awards in your categories, since the dataset lags by months.
  4. Keep a sheet with tender number, supplier, agency, amount, award date, description and source link.
  5. Check fit against your ideal customer before researching a contact.

Our guide on using GeBIZ awards to find B2B leads covers the dataset fields and filtering in more detail.

How to get a list of companies that won government contracts in Singapore

  1. Download Government Procurement via GeBIZ from data.gov.sg as a CSV. It is free under the Open Data Licence. When we downloaded it on 8 October 2026 it had 18,464 rows with award dates from 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2026. The collection lists an annual update frequency.
  2. Filter Tender Detail Status to drop “Awarded to No Suppliers”. The other values we saw were “Awarded to Suppliers”, “Awarded by Items” and “Award by interface record”.
  3. Filter by agency, award date or keywords in the tender description to match your field.
  4. Remove duplicates by supplier name for a list of winning companies. In our download, about 6,150 distinct suppliers had at least one award. Add up Awarded Amt by supplier if you want to rank them by value.
  5. Top up with recent awards from GeBIZ. MOF’s supplier guide says the award status of opportunities closed in the past six months is on the GeBIZ website, and registered GeBIZ Trading Partners can obtain detailed award information. Registration is free for the first user account.

The CSV columns are tender number, tender description, agency, award date, tender detail status, supplier name and awarded amount in S$. The file covers open tenders, not quotations. Our GeBIZ award finder searches the same data by keyword.

The data names companies, not people. When you research a contact at a winning firm, read B2B outreach in Singapore: what PDPA and the Do Not Call rules allow first.

How fast to act

Within one to two weeks of the award appearing. Winners usually start planning delivery soon after award and line up suppliers early, so a message that arrives while that planning is under way is more useful than one that arrives after the contract has started. Awards you find in the dataset months later still show who does this work, but treat them as a weaker, older signal.

Example first message

Illustrative example:

Subject: Your cleaning contract for the Tampines offices

Hi Mei Ling, I saw on GeBIZ that Brightway Facility Services was awarded the cleaning services contract for an agency’s Tampines offices last month. Congratulations. New sites usually need equipment and consumables in place before day one. We supply both to contract cleaners and deliver to each site on a fixed schedule. Would a sample price list for one site be useful?

Regards, Daniel

Pitfalls and rules

  • Check the facts. Confirm the supplier name, agency and description on GeBIZ before mentioning them. Getting the contract wrong ends the conversation.
  • Watch the status field. Some awards go to no supplier, and one tender can have several rows with different suppliers.
  • The amount is the whole contract. A multi-year contract shows as one total, not an annual figure.
  • Do not imply any link with the agency, ask for confidential tender information or contact agency officers about the supplier.
  • Check the outreach rules in B2B outreach in Singapore: what PDPA and the Do Not Call rules allow.

FYAdvisers can track GeBIZ awards in your field and draft award-specific outreach for your approval through our signal-based lead generation service.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I see who won a GeBIZ contract?

The GeBIZ website shows the award status of opportunities closed in the past six months. For a longer history of open tenders, MOF publishes the Government Procurement via GeBIZ dataset on data.gov.sg, with the supplier name and awarded amount.

Does the award data include a contact person?

No. It names the winning company, not a person. You need to find the right contact yourself, for example on the company website or LinkedIn.

Is the award date the same as the contract start date?

No. The data gives the award date only. Read the tender description and the GeBIZ record for the contract period, and say awarded rather than starting in your message.

Where can I get a list of companies that won government contracts in Singapore?

Download the free Government Procurement via GeBIZ CSV from data.gov.sg, which lists open tenders with the supplier name, agency, award date and amount. For awards in the past six months that are not yet in the file, check the award status on GeBIZ.
