In short: Corporate videos are usually priced per video by shoot days, crew size and editing; one Singapore guide puts a 2 to 3 minute agency corporate video at S$6,000 to S$18,000. Agree copyright, raw footage and usage rights in writing first, since the production company owns them by default.

Video production in Singapore covers planning, filming and editing video for a business purpose: a company profile, a product or explainer video, social media ads, training content or coverage of a corporate event. A production company usually handles the script and storyboard, the shoot with crew and equipment, and post-production such as editing, colour, sound, captions and motion graphics. Most corporate projects are priced per video, based on the number of shoot days, the size of the crew and how much editing or animation is needed, with rounds of revisions agreed up front.

What video production companies offer

Production companies tend to specialise. Match the type of company to the job rather than choosing on showreel alone.

Corporate and brand videos

  • Company profile and brand story videos
  • Leadership messages and investor or annual report videos
  • Customer testimonial and case study videos, filmed with the customer’s agreement
  • Recruitment and employer brand videos

Ads and social content

  • Short ads for social platforms and online video, often in several aspect ratios
  • Product videos and demonstrations
  • Series of short clips cut from one shoot for ongoing social posting
  • Subtitled or translated versions for different markets

Event videos

  • Conference and launch highlight reels
  • Speaker and panel recordings
  • Interviews filmed on site
  • Livestreaming and hybrid event production

Animation and explainers

  • Animated explainers and motion graphics
  • Training and onboarding modules
  • Data or process visualisations

If the video supports an event you are still planning, a corporate event company may coordinate filming as part of the event. If you need the finished video promoted, see digital marketing agencies.

What it costs in Singapore

Pricing depends mainly on pre-production time, the number of shoot days, crew size, locations and post-production. From a page we checked in October 2026:

  • A Singapore video production cost guide, published in May 2026 and updated in October 2026 by a production firm, puts typical one-off projects at S$6,000 to S$25,000 and above, and a 2 to 3 minute agency corporate video at S$6,000 to S$18,000. It lists crew day rates (producer, camera, sound, lighting) at S$1,200 to S$3,500, editor day rates at S$800 to S$1,600, and fully animated explainers at S$4,000 to S$15,000 per finished minute. High-end branded films are listed at S$25,000 to S$80,000.

This is one firm’s guide, not a quote. The main cost drivers are:

  • Pre-production. Concept, scripting, storyboards, casting and location scouting.
  • Shoot days and crew. Each extra day, camera, location or specialist (drone, lighting, make-up) adds cost.
  • Talent. Presenters, actors and voice-over artists, and how long you can use their image.
  • Post-production. Editing time, colour grading, sound design, motion graphics and animation.
  • Versions. Cut-downs, aspect ratios, subtitles and translated versions.
  • Revisions. The number of review rounds included before extra charges apply.
  • Music and stock footage. Licence fees depend on where and how long the video will run.
  • GST. Check whether quotes include the 9% GST.

Singapore rules and rights buyers should know

Under the Copyright Act 2021, IPOS explains that the author of a commissioned work owns copyright by default unless an agreement says otherwise. For a commissioned video, that means the production company may own the footage unless your contract transfers ownership or grants you the rights you need. Agree in writing who owns the final video and raw footage, where you may use it, and for how long.

Drone filming (CAAS)

Aerial shots need permits in many situations. CAAS sets out when a UA Operator Permit and Activity Permit are required, including for flights at events attended by more than 50 people. Ask whether your production company holds the required permits, or whether it will apply for them, and allow time for approval in the schedule.

People who appear on camera

Get written releases from staff, customers and talent who appear in your video, and agree how long their likeness can be used. If personal data is involved, follow your own PDPA practices for consent and notification.

How to choose a video production company

Look for recent work similar to your brief, in the same format and for a similar audience, and ask who on their team actually shot and edited it.

Questions to ask:

  1. What does the quote include: pre-production, shoot days, crew, equipment, editing, music and revisions?
  2. How many rounds of revisions are included, and what does an extra round cost?
  3. Who will own the final video and the raw footage, and what usage rights do we get?
  4. Are music, stock footage and talent fees licensed for our intended platforms and duration?
  5. What deliverables will we receive: lengths, aspect ratios, subtitles and file formats?
  6. Who is our day-to-day contact, and who directs on the day of the shoot?
  7. Do you need permits for any locations or drone shots, and who arranges them?
  8. What happens if the shoot is postponed or a location falls through?

If your video needs versions in other languages, you may also want translation services for scripts and subtitles.

Red flags

  • A single lump-sum price with no breakdown of days, crew or deliverables
  • No written position on copyright, raw footage or usage rights
  • Unlicensed music or vague answers about licensing
  • A showreel with no recent work like yours, or work that cannot be credited
  • No limit on revisions, which often means disputes later
  • No plan for drone or location permits where they are needed
  • Full payment demanded before any pre-production work is shared

Frequently asked questions

How does matching work?

You describe the video you need: the purpose, length, where it will be shown, shoot dates and budget range. We hold a free concierge consultation by short call or email to clarify the brief. Then, with your consent, we introduce you to one to five production companies suited to it, as many as you choose. They contact you directly, and you decide whether to go ahead with any of them.

Is it free?

Yes. It is free for businesses requesting a match. Providers pay FYAdvisers to receive matched requests. FYAdvisers does not produce videos itself.

What types of video do Singapore businesses usually commission?

Common requests are company profile and brand videos, product and explainer videos, social media ads, recruitment and training videos, customer case studies, and event coverage such as conference highlights, interviews and livestreams. Animation and motion graphics are often used for explainers where filming is impractical.

Who owns the copyright in a video we commission?

Under Singapore's Copyright Act 2021, the creator of a commissioned film is the default first owner of copyright unless the contract says otherwise. If you want to own the footage or reuse it freely, agree ownership and usage rights in writing before production starts.

How much does video production cost in Singapore?
