Get matched: web design

Free for businesses. A concierge will contact you to confirm your needs before any introductions. Not sure what you need yet? That is fine, describe the problem. You can write in English or Chinese (中文).

In short: Write a short brief on pages, features, who updates content and launch date before asking for quotes; one agency guide puts a corporate site at S$5,000 to S$15,000. Keep the domain, hosting and CMS in your company's name, and note PSG ceased on 29 September 2026.

A web design company in Singapore plans, designs and builds your business website, then usually offers hosting, maintenance and updates after launch. For most businesses the choice comes down to three things: the type of site (a corporate site, an online store or something with custom features), the platform it runs on, and who looks after it once it is live. Prices vary widely, so the most useful thing you can do before asking for quotes is write a short brief: the pages you need, the features, who will update the content, and your launch date.

What web design companies offer

Most providers cover the full build, but the scope inside a “website package” differs a lot. Compare line by line.

Corporate and brochure websites

  • Sitemap and page planning
  • Custom or template-based design, with a set number of revision rounds
  • Responsive build for mobile, tablet and desktop
  • Contact or enquiry forms connected to email or a CRM
  • Basic on-page SEO set-up, such as page titles, descriptions and redirects from an old site
  • Analytics installation and a handover session

E-commerce websites

  • Product catalogue, cart and checkout
  • Payment gateway and shipping set-up
  • Inventory, order and customer management
  • Integration with accounting, marketplace or delivery systems

E-commerce builds range from a configured hosted platform to a fully custom store. If you sell to other businesses, mention price lists, quotes or account logins, as these change the scope.

Maintenance and support

  • Hosting, SSL and backups
  • CMS, plugin and security updates
  • Content changes, usually capped by hours per month
  • Uptime monitoring and fixes

Ask whether maintenance is included for a period after launch and what it costs after that.

CMS and platform choices

  • Open-source CMS such as WordPress. Widely supported, so changing provider is easier. Needs regular plugin and security updates.
  • Hosted website builders. Lower upkeep and fast to launch, but less flexible, and moving away later can mean a rebuild.
  • Hosted e-commerce platforms. Payments, hosting and security are handled by the platform for a monthly fee.
  • Headless or custom builds. Most flexible and suited to complex sites, but cost more to build and maintain, and depend more on the original developer.

If your site needs custom logins, dashboards or workflows rather than pages, you may need web or app development instead.

What it costs in Singapore

From pages we checked in October 2026, a website pricing guide updated in October 2026 by a Singapore web design agency gives these ranges:

  • Basic site of 3 to 5 pages: S$800 to S$3,000
  • Small business site of 5 to 10 pages: S$1,500 to S$5,000
  • Corporate site: S$5,000 to S$15,000
  • E-commerce site: S$5,000 to S$30,000
  • Custom web application: from S$15,000 to S$100,000 and more
  • Custom design: S$2,000 to S$10,000 on top of the build
  • Hosting and domain renewal: S$250 to S$500 a year
  • Optional maintenance: S$50 to S$200 a month

Other local price guides give different numbers, so treat these as a starting point, not a quote. Our website and app cost calculator turns them into an estimate for your project. The main cost drivers are:

  • Design approach. A template is cheaper than custom layouts and more revision rounds.
  • Number of page templates and pages. Unique layouts cost more than repeated ones.
  • Features. Bookings, payments, member areas, multiple languages and CRM or ERP integrations are usually priced separately.
  • Content. Copywriting, photography, video and translation are often excluded. If you need them, see video production and translation services.
  • Migration. Moving content and SEO redirects from an old site takes time.
  • Ongoing work. Maintenance, hosting and SEO are often separate monthly fees.
  • GST. Check whether quotes include the 9% GST.

Singapore rules and requirements buyers should know

Grants have changed

Many web design pages still advertise packages supported by the Productivity Solutions Grant. Enterprise Singapore’s PSG page now says the EDG, MRA and PSG ceased on 29 September 2026, and that from 30 September businesses should apply under the EDGE Grant. The EDGE page lists Automation & Digitalisation as one of its business areas and says support levels differ by activity, so check whether your project qualifies before you commit. The EDGE page also says claims are made once the activity is completed and full payment has been made.

Personal data on your website (PDPC)

Enquiry forms, newsletter sign-ups, customer accounts and online orders all collect personal data, so the Personal Data Protection Act applies. The PDPC’s Protection Obligation requires reasonable security arrangements to protect personal data in your organisation’s possession. A provider that hosts or processes that data for you may be a data intermediary; the PDPC publishes a guide to managing data intermediaries. Agree in writing how form data is stored, who can access it and how quickly the provider will tell you about a breach. The PDPC says a notifiable data breach should be reported to it as soon as practicable and no later than three calendar days, so your provider needs to alert you quickly.

Domain names (SGNIC)

.sg domain names are registered through registrars accredited by SGNIC. Make sure the domain is registered to your company, not to the web designer.

How to choose a web design company

Ask to see live sites similar to yours, not just design mock-ups, and speak to the person who will manage your project.

Questions to ask:

  1. What exactly is included: number of pages, page templates, revision rounds, content entry and training?
  2. Which CMS or platform do you recommend for us, and why?
  3. Will the domain, hosting account, CMS admin and source files be in our name?
  4. Who owns the design and code after we pay, and is that written into the contract?
  5. What does maintenance cover, how many hours a month, and what does it cost after the first year?
  6. How do you handle redirects and SEO when replacing our current site?
  7. How do you secure form data and customer data, and where is the site hosted?
  8. What happens if we want to move to another provider later?

If you also need ongoing search or advertising work, request it separately through digital marketing so you can compare specialists.

Red flags

  • A low package price with no written list of pages, features and revision rounds
  • The domain or hosting registered in the provider’s name
  • No admin access for you, or a proprietary system you cannot move away from
  • “Lifetime” or “free” maintenance with no stated scope
  • Pressure to sign quickly to secure a grant, or a grant presented as guaranteed
  • No plan for redirects when replacing an existing site
  • No portfolio of live sites you can visit

How does matching work?

You describe the website you need: the type of site, roughly how many pages, any features such as e-commerce or bookings, your preferred CMS, budget range and timing. We clarify the brief with you in a free concierge consultation by short call or email. Then, with your consent, we introduce you to one to five web design companies that take on that kind of project, the number you choose. You meet them and decide whether to go ahead with any of them.

Is it free?

Yes. It is free for businesses requesting a match. Providers pay FYAdvisers to receive matched requests. FYAdvisers does not design or build websites itself.

How much does a website cost in Singapore?

It depends on scope. A website pricing guide updated in October 2026 by a Singapore web design agency puts a basic 3 to 5 page site at S$800 to S$3,000, a corporate site at S$5,000 to S$15,000 and an e-commerce site at S$5,000 to S$30,000, with custom design adding S$2,000 to S$10,000. Your scope, features and design level change the figure.

Can we still use the Productivity Solutions Grant for a website?

Enterprise Singapore says the Productivity Solutions Grant, Enterprise Development Grant and Market Readiness Assistance ceased on 29 September 2026, and that new applications should go to the EDGE Grant from 30 September. Check the official EDGE Grant page for which activities qualify before you sign anything, and treat older 'PSG package' offers with care.

Who should own the domain, hosting and website files?

Your company should. Register the domain in your company's name, keep the login details for the domain, hosting and CMS yourself, and put ownership of the design and code in the contract. That way you can change provider without rebuilding from scratch.
