In short: ACRA charges S$15 for the name application and S$300 for registration, and you need a local resident director, a registered office address and a company secretary within six months. Foreigners must use a registered corporate service provider, so check the provider's ACRA registration.
Company incorporation in Singapore means registering a private limited company with ACRA through Bizfile. ACRA’s fees are S$15 for the name application and S$300 for registration. You need at least one director who meets ACRA’s local residency rules, a Singapore registered office address, and a company secretary appointed within six months. Singapore residents with Singpass can file themselves; foreigners must use a registered corporate service provider. Most founders who use a provider buy a package that combines incorporation with company secretarial service, and sometimes a registered address and a local nominee director.

What it costs in Singapore
Government fees
ACRA lists a S$15 name application fee, which is non-refundable, and a S$300 registration fee for a local company. That is S$315 in total if you file yourself.
Provider packages
From provider pages we checked in October 2026:
- One provider’s September 2026 price guide lists a standard incorporation package at S$648 all-in, including the ACRA fees and 12 months of company secretary service, and a package with a nominee director at S$2,495. It lists a registered address at S$245 a year and says GST is not added to its published prices.
- Another provider’s May 2026 guide lists incorporation with company secretary from S$600 for local founders, and packages for foreign founders that include a nominee director and government fees from S$3,772.
These figures come from providers’ own websites and are a starting point, not a quote. The main cost drivers are:
- Residency of the directors. If no director is locally resident, a nominee director is usually the largest extra cost, and some providers ask for a deposit.
- Registered address. You only need to pay for one if you have no suitable Singapore address.
- What is bundled. First-year secretary, accounting, tax filing and annual return support may or may not be included.
- Shareholder structure. Corporate shareholders, several classes of shares or foreign shareholders add document checks.
- Work passes. Employment Pass or EntrePass support is usually priced separately.
- GST. Check whether quotes include the 9% GST.
Singapore rules buyers should know
Registering through Bizfile (ACRA)
Companies are registered through ACRA’s Bizfile. Individuals such as proposed directors and secretaries log in with Singpass, while corporate service providers use Corppass. Only the person who reserved the name can file the registration, and that person must be a director or secretary of the new company. If you file yourself, the other position holders must endorse the registration within 60 days. An approved name is reserved for up to 120 days.
Local resident director (ACRA)
ACRA’s requirements page says every business must have at least one local resident. Singapore citizens, permanent residents and valid holders of an Employment Pass, Personalised Employment Pass or Overseas Networks and Expertise Pass qualify. Foreigners must engage a corporate service provider to reserve a name and register the company.
Company secretary within six months (ACRA)
ACRA’s guide on appointing directors and a company secretary says a secretary must be appointed within six months of registration. The secretary must meet the local residency rules and cannot be the same person as the sole director.
Registered office address (ACRA)
The company needs a Singapore registered office address. ACRA says it must be open to the public for at least three hours on each business day, and it does not have to be where the business operates. A fine of up to S$5,000 may apply if it is not complied with.
Corppass and after registration (ACRA, Corppass)
ACRA’s post-registration checklist describes Corppass as the single login for government-to-business transactions, which you can apply for one day after receiving your UEN through the Corppass admin application. The same checklist covers downloading your free Business Profile within 60 days, appointing an auditor within three months unless exempt, getting a CPF Submission Number before you hire, and registering for GST if taxable turnover exceeds S$1 million.
Registered corporate service providers (ACRA)
Firms that form companies or file with ACRA for others must register with ACRA as a corporate service provider. Check a provider’s registration on Bizfile before you sign.
EntrePass for foreign founders (MOM)
MOM’s EntrePass is for serial entrepreneurs, innovators and experienced investors starting a private limited company that is venture-backed or owns innovative technology. The applicant must hold at least 30% of the company, which may be registered or not yet set up, and meet at least one criterion such as raising at least S$100,000 in a single funding round. EntrePass holders are not listed among ACRA’s qualifying local residents, so plan the resident director separately.
How to choose an incorporation provider
Questions to ask:
- Are you registered with ACRA as a corporate service provider?
- What is included in the package, and what is charged in year two?
- Who will be our company secretary, and are they qualified under the Companies Act?
- If you provide a nominee director, what are the fees, deposit, indemnity and exit terms?
- Is the registered address a real office that meets ACRA’s opening-hour rule, and how is mail handled?
- Do you help with the bank account, and what happens if the bank declines?
- What documents do you need from each shareholder and director?
- Can you also handle accounting, tax and the annual return, or refer us?
Red flags
- Not registered with ACRA as a corporate service provider
- A very low headline price that excludes the ACRA fees, secretary or address
- Nominee director terms not set out in writing
- Promises of guaranteed bank accounts or work passes
- No customer checks on shareholders and directors
- Unclear renewal pricing after the first year
- Reluctance to explain who files what with ACRA, and when

Frequently asked questions
How does matching work?
You describe your plans: the type of business, who the shareholders and directors are, whether anyone lives in Singapore, and what you need after incorporation. A concierge then contacts you to confirm the details and, with your consent, introduces you to the number you choose (one to five) of corporate service providers that handle that kind of work. They contact you directly, and you decide whether to go ahead with any of them.
Is it free?
Yes. It is free for businesses requesting a match. Providers pay FYAdvisers to receive introductions. FYAdvisers does not incorporate companies itself.
How much are the government fees to register a company in Singapore?
ACRA charges S$15 for the company name application and S$300 to register a local company, as listed on its website in October 2026. Provider packages are on top of this, although many quote an all-in price that includes the ACRA fees.
Can a foreigner register a Singapore company?
Yes, but ACRA says foreigners must engage a registered corporate service provider to reserve a name and register the company. Every company also needs at least one director who meets ACRA's local residency rules. A foreigner who wants to move to Singapore to run the business needs a work pass from MOM, such as an Employment Pass or, for eligible founders, an EntrePass.
How long does incorporation take?
ACRA says most registrations are approved soon after payment once the name is approved. Applications referred to other authorities can take longer: ACRA lists up to 15 working days for referred name applications, and 14 to 60 days where a referral authority must approve the registration.
