In short: Watch the source where past customers appeared before buying: GeBIZ awards for government contractors, ACRA data for new companies, MAS, BCA or CEA registers for newly licensed firms, and SGX, MyCareersFuture and EDB or Enterprise Singapore news for funding, hiring and expansion.
The best free sources of B2B buying signals in Singapore are government and exchange records. The GeBIZ award dataset on data.gov.sg shows who has just won public contracts, ACRA’s corporate entity data shows newly registered companies, and the MAS, BCA and CEA registers show businesses that have just been licensed. SGX announcements, MyCareersFuture and the EDB and Enterprise Singapore newsrooms add funding, hiring and expansion news.
All nine sources below are free to search. Each one links to a page in our signal library that explains how to monitor it in more detail.
How we chose
A buying signal is only useful if you can find it reliably, early and without paying for a data subscription. We included a source if it met all of these:
- Free. No subscription needed to search or download, though some offer paid extras.
- Official. Published by a government agency, regulator or the exchange, rather than scraped or resold.
- Company-level. It names specific businesses, so you can act on it, rather than only reporting market trends.
- Checkable. You can verify the entry yourself before mentioning it in a message.
- Singapore-specific. It covers businesses operating in Singapore.
We left out paid databases and intent data platforms, which are covered in our comparison of intent data and trigger events. Facts below were checked on each source in October 2026.

1. GeBIZ award dataset on data.gov.sg
The Government Procurement via GeBIZ dataset is published by the Ministry of Finance under the Singapore Open Data Licence. It covers open tenders since FY2021, and each row gives the tender number, description, agency, award date, award status, supplier name and awarded amount.
Best for: Suppliers whose customers deliver government contracts and need subcontractors, equipment, staff or services to do it.
Limits: It is not real time. When we checked in October 2026, coverage ran to 31 March 2026 and the last update was 26 April 2026. It does not include quotations.
How to use it: Search by keyword with our free GeBIZ award finder, or download the CSV. See the GeBIZ contract award signal for a monitoring routine.
2. GeBIZ business opportunities
GeBIZ business opportunities is the live listing of government tenders and quotations. It is free to search by title, document number, agency or category. MOF’s summarised supplier guide says the award status of opportunities closed in the past six months can be found there, and that registration as a GeBIZ Trading Partner is free for the first user account.
Best for: Newer awards than the dataset shows, and new tenders if you supply the companies that bid.
Limits: You need to register to download documents and to use the RSS business alerts, which replaced the GeBIZ Alert service on GoBusiness when it ended on 28 February 2025.
Related: The indicative procurement listing shows purchases agencies expect to make in the year ahead. See the tender opened signal and the procurement plan signal.
3. ACRA corporate entities on data.gov.sg
ACRA Information on Corporate Entities is a set of 27 CSV files of registered entities, one for each letter and one for others. ACRA says it can be used for personal or commercial purposes. Columns include UEN, entity name and type, status, registration date, address, primary and secondary SSIC codes and number of officers.
Best for: Selling to new companies in a specific industry, such as accounting, insurance, office fit-out or software.
Limits: When we checked, files updated monthly on the 16th. Some columns are excluded for gazetted companies. Position holders are not included; ACRA’s business profile, which lists them, costs S$5.50.
How to use it: Filter by registration date and SSIC code each month. See the new company registration signal and the registered address change signal.
4. MAS Financial Institutions Directory
The MAS Financial Institutions Directory lists licensed and regulated financial institutions by sector: banking, capital markets, financial advisory, insurance and payments. You can browse licence types such as Major Payment Institution or Capital Markets Services Licensee, each with a live count, and download result lists.
Best for: Vendors selling compliance, technology, audit, recruitment or office services to newly licensed financial firms.
Limits: We did not find licence grant dates on institution pages, so the practical method is to download lists and compare them month to month.
How to use it: See the MAS licence granted signal.
5. BCA Directory and registered contractors dataset
The BCA Directory lists registered contractors, licensed builders, facilities management companies and construction-related suppliers, searchable by name or UEN and grouped by workhead. BCA also publishes a Listing of Registered Contractors on data.gov.sg with workhead, grade, expiry date and address.
Best for: Suppliers of materials, equipment, safety, software or staffing to construction firms.
Limits: When we checked, the dataset covered July 2025 to January 2026 and had no stated update frequency, so use it as a baseline and the directory for recent changes.
How to use it: See the BCA contractor registration signal.
6. CEA Public Register and salesperson data
The CEA Public Register lets you search estate agents and salespersons. The CEA Salesperson Information dataset on data.gov.sg is updated daily and includes each salesperson’s estate agent name and licence number.
Best for: Vendors selling software, marketing, training or office services to estate agencies.
Limits: It covers one regulated industry. Other licensing registers, such as MOM’s employment agency directory, need manual checks.
How to use it: List distinct agency licence numbers each month and look for new ones. See the new regulated licence signal.
7. SGX Company Announcements
SGX Company Announcements is free to search by company, period and category. Listed companies file placements, acquisitions, leadership changes and other material developments here.
Best for: Signals at listed companies: funding, mergers, new senior leaders and expansion.
Limits: Listed companies only, which excludes most SMEs.
How to use it: See the funding round, merger or acquisition and senior leader appointment signals.
8. MyCareersFuture
MyCareersFuture is Singapore’s national job portal. It is free to search without logging in, and results can be sorted by date and filtered to direct employers. MOM’s fair consideration rules require most employers to advertise there before applying for an Employment Pass, which makes coverage broad.
Best for: Spotting companies hiring for a role that suggests they need your product, such as a first finance manager or a facilities lead.
Limits: Exemptions mean smaller companies and senior roles may not appear. Email alerts need a login.
How to use it: See the hiring for a relevant role signal.
9. EDB and Enterprise Singapore newsrooms
EDB News and insights publishes stories on companies setting up or growing in Singapore, including a Headquarters tag. The Enterprise Singapore Media Centre publishes media releases, speeches and news, mainly about programmes and overseas expansion.
Best for: Expansion, new facility and regional headquarters signals at larger companies.
Limits: Stories cover selected companies, not a complete register, so treat them as a supplement.
How to use it: See the new office or expansion signal and the government grant project signal.
How to choose
Do not try to watch all nine. Look at your last 10 to 20 good customers and ask what happened at each one in the months before they bought. If several had just won government work, start with the GeBIZ sources. If most were young companies, start with ACRA. If they cluster in one regulated industry, use that industry’s register. Our guide to what buying signals are walks through this exercise.
Then set a routine. Datasets that update monthly need a monthly check; live sources such as GeBIZ, SGX and MyCareersFuture reward a weekly one. Keep a simple sheet with the company, the signal, the date, the source link and what you did next, and you will soon see which source produces conversations.
Before contacting anyone you find, check what the PDPA and Do Not Call rules allow for business-to-business messages. If you would rather have the watching, research and drafting done for you, that is what our signal-based lead generation service does.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best free source of B2B buying signals in Singapore?
For companies that sell to government contractors, the GeBIZ award dataset on data.gov.sg is usually the most useful, because each row names the winning supplier, the agency and the amount. For companies that sell to new businesses, ACRA's corporate entity data on data.gov.sg is the strongest. The best source is the one where your past customers showed up just before they bought.
Are these Singapore data sources free for commercial use?
The datasets on data.gov.sg are published under the Singapore Open Data Licence. ACRA's listing says its corporate entity data can be used for personal or commercial purposes. Directories such as the MAS Financial Institutions Directory and the BCA Directory are free to search. Always check the terms on each source before building a product on it.
How often are these sources updated?
It varies. When we checked in October 2026, ACRA's corporate entity files updated monthly, CEA salesperson data updated daily, and the GeBIZ award dataset lagged by several months. GeBIZ itself, SGX announcements and MyCareersFuture show new items as they are published.
Can I contact people I find through these sources?
Finding a company in a public source does not remove your obligations under the PDPA, and calls or texts to Singapore numbers may fall under the Do Not Call provisions. Check what the rules allow for business-to-business messages before you reach out.
