How the estimate works
The calculator adds three parts together. First, a base build range for your project type, taken from published Singapore price guides. Second, a design add-on if you choose custom design for a website. Third, feature add-ons for anything you tick that the base range does not already cover. The low end adds up all the low figures and the high end adds up all the high figures, so the range is deliberately wide. Results are rounded to the nearest S$500.
The size you enter picks the tier. For a corporate website, up to 5 pages uses the basic informational tier, 6 to 10 pages uses the small business tier and 11 or more uses the corporate tier. For a mobile app, up to 10 screens is treated as a basic MVP, 11 to 30 as a standard app and 31 or more as a complex app. These page and screen cut-offs are FYAdvisers' estimation assumptions: the guides describe tiers by complexity, not by exact count. E-commerce and web app ranges do not change with page count, because the guide gives one range for each.
Sources and assumptions
Rates checked October 2026. Every guide below is published by a company that sells these services, so treat the numbers as market signals, not neutral benchmarks.
- Website ranges. Design Magic's Singapore pricing guide (updated October 2026): basic 3 to 5 page site S$800 to S$3,000; 5 to 10 page small business site S$1,500 to S$5,000; corporate site S$5,000 to S$15,000; e-commerce S$5,000 to S$30,000; custom web application S$15,000 to S$100,000 and up; custom design adds S$2,000 to S$10,000. Its worked example gives hosting and domain renewal at about S$250 to S$500 a year and optional maintenance at S$50 to S$200 a month.
- Mobile app ranges. Kaopiz (2026): basic MVP S$10,000 to S$30,000, standard app S$30,000 to S$80,000, enterprise S$80,000 and up, maintenance 15 to 20% of the build a year. Apptunix (September 2026): MVP S$15,000 to S$80,000+, medium S$80,000 to S$120,000+, complex S$120,000 to S$200,000+. The calculator takes the low figure from Kaopiz and the high figure from Apptunix for each tier, and assumes one cross-platform build for iOS and Android.
- Feature costs with a published figure. From the Apptunix guide: payment gateway S$4,000 to S$10,000; user registration and login S$2,000 to S$3,000; admin dashboard S$8,000 to S$25,000; AI-powered chatbot S$10,000 to S$40,000; API integrations S$3,000 to S$20,000. These are app figures, which we also apply to websites, so they may overstate the cost on a simple site.
- App store fees. Apple lists the Apple Developer Program fee as 99 USD a year. Google Play charges a one-time US$25 registration fee. We show these in US dollars.
- FYAdvisers' estimation assumptions (no published figure found). Multilingual adds 20 to 40% of the base build; booking adds 15 to 30%; a CMS adds 10 to 20% on a web app or mobile app and nothing on a website, where it is normally part of the build. Payments and an admin dashboard are treated as included in an e-commerce site, and user accounts as included in a web app or portal. Custom design does not change app ranges, because the app guides do not price it separately.
What changes the price
- Who builds it. The Design Magic guide shows freelancers, small agencies and full-service agencies quoting very different ranges for the same type of site.
- Custom work versus configuration. A template or hosted platform is cheaper to launch than custom layouts, custom checkout flows or bespoke dashboards.
- Integrations. Each connection to a CRM, accounting or inventory system needs design, testing and upkeep when either side changes.
- Platforms. Kaopiz says a cross-platform app can save 30 to 40% compared with separate native iOS and Android apps.
- Content. Copywriting, photography and translation are often quoted separately. Multilingual sites need translated content as well as the technical set-up.
- GST. Check whether each quote includes the 9% GST.
Running costs after launch
For websites, the monthly figure spreads the S$250 to S$500 yearly hosting and domain cost across 12 months, then adds S$50 to S$200 a month if you choose maintenance. Hosted store platforms charge their own subscription and transaction fees, which are not included. For web apps and mobile apps, maintenance is 15 to 20% of the build a year, divided by 12. Cloud hosting and third-party services for apps depend on usage and are not estimated. Mobile apps also need an Apple developer membership and a Google Play account, which should be registered in your company's name.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a website cost in Singapore?
A Singapore web agency's pricing guide, updated October 2026, puts a basic 3 to 5 page site at S$800 to S$3,000, a 5 to 10 page small business site at S$1,500 to S$5,000, a corporate site at S$5,000 to S$15,000 and an e-commerce site at S$5,000 to S$30,000. Custom design adds S$2,000 to S$10,000. Quotes depend on scope, so ask each provider for an itemised quote.
How much does app development cost in Singapore?
Two 2026 guides from development companies give a basic MVP at S$10,000 to S$30,000 and at S$15,000 to S$80,000 or more, and a medium or standard app at S$30,000 to S$80,000 and at S$80,000 to S$120,000 or more. This calculator shows the full spread across both guides rather than picking one.
What does an app cost to run each month?
A 2026 app development guide from Kaopiz puts annual maintenance at 15 to 20% of the original build cost. On top of that, Apple charges 99 USD a year for the Apple Developer Program and Google Play charges a one-time 25 USD registration fee. Hosting and third-party services depend on usage.
Are these figures quotes?
No. They are estimates built from published price guides plus FYAdvisers' own estimation assumptions for some features. FYAdvisers does not build websites or apps. Use the estimate to set a budget range, then compare itemised quotes from providers.
Which category should I choose in the request form?
The form below is preset to Web design. If you are planning a web app, portal or mobile app, change the category to App and system development before you send it.
