Office renovation and fit-out for beauty and wellness businesses

What beauty and wellness businesses need from office renovation and fit-out

• Plumbing and drainage for basins, showers or wet rooms
• Ventilation for chemicals, steam or heat treatments
• Treatment rooms with privacy and sound control
• Lighting that sets mood and supports detailed work
• Water and product-resistant finishes
• Reception and retail display areas

Questions to ask a provider

1. Have you fitted out salons, spas or studios before?
2. How will you handle plumbing and drainage for wash basins or wet rooms?
3. What ventilation do you recommend for our treatments?
4. Which finishes will last best with water, oils and products?

Pitfalls to avoid

• Poor waterproofing in wet areas can cause leaks and disputes with neighbours or landlords
• Weak ventilation leaves odours and humidity that affect customers and staff
• Some buildings restrict wet works or drainage changes, so check landlord rules early
