Talenox vs QuickHR: payroll and HR software in Singapore (2026)

Talenox and QuickHR are both Singapore payroll and HR systems that handle CPF, IRAS submissions, leave and claims. Talenox is a focused payroll, leave and claims product with transparent per-employee pricing. QuickHR is a broader HR suite with attendance, rostering and, on its higher tiers, recruitment, appraisals and training, sold by quote.

In short: Talenox publishes SGD prices: SUITE (payroll, leave, claims) is S$38.15 a month for the first 5 staff plus S$7.63 per extra employee, billed annually. QuickHR quotes from S$5 per employee a month and adds attendance, scheduling and, on higher tiers, recruitment and appraisals. Talenox suits simple payroll.

Pick Talenox if you are an office-based SME that mainly needs accurate payroll, leave and claims with published prices you can calculate yourself. Pick QuickHR if you run shift or site-based staff and need attendance tracking, timesheets and scheduling in the same system, or if you want recruitment, appraisals and training on a higher tier. Both cover the Singapore basics: CPF, IRAS submissions and accounting integrations.

All prices and features below were checked on each vendor’s own website in October 2026. Talenox’s pricing page shows USD by default; the SGD figures here come from its Singapore pricing data and its Singapore homepage.

Pricing

Talenox prices by headcount with a base fee covering the first 5 employees. On annual billing, PAYROLL and LEAVE are each S$21.80 a month for the first 5 employees plus S$4.36 per extra full-time employee. SUITE, which combines payroll, leave and claims, is S$38.15 for the first 5 plus S$7.63 per extra full-time employee. Monthly billing costs more: SUITE is S$43.60 for the first 5 plus S$8.72 per extra full-time employee. Talenox says resigned employees are not charged, monthly plans bill on active headcount, and SUITE has no contract period. A Pro plan for 50 to 1,000+ staff is priced on request.

As a worked example from those published figures, a 12-person company with all full-time staff on SUITE annual billing would pay S$38.15 plus 7 × S$7.63, or S$91.56 a month. Confirm with Talenox whether GST applies on top.

QuickHR shows “from” prices per employee per month: S$5 for Standard, S$10 for Growth and S$15 for Enterprise. Each tier leads to a quote request, and Enterprise pricing depends on entity count, integrations and compliance scope. QuickHR also mentions a promotional starting rate for eligible new sign-ups. Ask for a written quote with your headcount, modules and any setup fees.

Singapore payroll compliance

Both products are built for Singapore rules. Talenox says it automates CPF contributions, generates CPF files and IR8A forms, and supports submission to IRAS under the Auto-Inclusion Scheme, along with Appendix 8A, 8B, IR21 and IR8S. It lists SDL and CDAC handling and describes its payslips as IRAS-compliant.

QuickHR lists CPF rates applied automatically by age tier, IRAS AIS and SFFS filing for IR8A, IR8S, IR21 and appendices, and says it is One-Stop Payroll (OSP) certified. It also lists itemised payslips and CPF submission files.

For a typical SME, either will meet the statutory basics. The difference is in what sits around payroll. Year-end matters too: both describe producing IR8A and related forms for the Auto-Inclusion Scheme, so ask each to show you the year-end process in a demo, including how amendments and employees who leave Singapore (IR21) are handled.

HR features beyond payroll

Talenox’s Singapore plans are focused: employee profiles, payroll, leave (including multiple approvers and Google Calendar sync) and, on SUITE, expense claims that sync to payroll. Its plans do not list attendance tracking or rostering.

QuickHR’s Standard tier covers the employee database, payroll, leave and claims, reports and a mobile app for iOS and Android. Growth adds attendance tracking, timesheets and scheduling, inventory management and Xero and QuickBooks integration. Enterprise adds biometric identification, a facial recognition tablet, performance appraisal, an applicant tracking system and learning management.

If your staff clock in at outlets, sites or shifts, that attendance and scheduling layer is the main reason to choose QuickHR.

Integrations and support

Talenox states integrations with Xero and QuickBooks Online and generates bank files for more than 10 Singapore banks. It says it is headquartered in Singapore and offers a knowledge centre, in-app support and WhatsApp. All plans include unlimited administrators and a free online help desk.

QuickHR lists general ledger export to Xero and payroll export to QuickBooks, and GIRO files for DBS and UOB. Enterprise plans include dedicated support options.

Which should you choose

  • Office-based SME under 50 staff, payroll and leave only: Talenox. Pricing is published and easy to forecast.
  • F&B, retail, security, cleaning or other shift-based teams: QuickHR Growth, for attendance, timesheets and scheduling alongside payroll.
  • Growing company that wants recruitment and appraisals in one system: QuickHR Enterprise, priced by quote.
  • Very small team that wants the lowest admin: consider whether payroll outsourcing is simpler than running software yourself.
  • Already on Xero or QuickBooks: both integrate. Check that journals map to your chart of accounts the way your accountant wants.

Questions to ask before you sign

  • What is the total monthly cost for our exact headcount, including part-time staff, and is GST added?
  • Are there setup, data migration or training fees?
  • How are CPF, IRAS AIS and bank GIRO files produced and submitted each month and year end?
  • How do approved claims and unpaid leave flow into payroll?
  • How does the payroll journal post to our accounting software, and who maps the accounts?
  • What support is included, through which channels, and within what response time?
  • If we leave, can we export all payroll history and payslips?

Run at least one parallel payroll month before going live. Comparing the new system’s output with your current payslips and CPF figures is the most reliable way to catch set-up errors.
