In short: PSG no longer accepts new applications. EDGE now lists several inventory activities at up to 50% support for SMEs, from Inventory and Sales Management (S$10,000 cost cap) to Warehouse Management for logistics (S$45,000). Pick the one that fits your sector, use an SMEs Go Digital vendor, and apply before paying.
The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) no longer takes new applications. Enterprise Singapore’s EDGE Grant FAQ states that “After 30 September 2026, no new application will be accepted” under PSG, EDG or MRA, and EDGE launched on 30 September 2026. For inventory systems, EDGE now lists several single-function activities with up to 50% support for SMEs. The right one depends on your sector and on whether you also need sales, accounting or warehouse functions. Vendors and packages come from IMDA’s SMEs Go Digital platform.
PSG applications submitted before the cut-off continue to be assessed, and ongoing PSG projects are supported until completion and claim disbursement.
How EDGE supports inventory software
The inventory-related activities listed by Enterprise Singapore on 13 October 2026:
| Activity | Sector | What it covers | Cost cap | Max grant (SME) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Inventory and Sales Management | All sectors | Product details, stock locations, pricing and orders, with point-of-sale integration | S$10,000 | S$5,000 |
| Inventory Management (Wholesale) | Wholesale trade | Receiving, putaway, picking, packing and stocktaking | S$15,000 | S$7,500 |
| Accounting, Inventory and Sales Management | All sectors | Accounting, stock and sales in one system, with barcode, RFID and POS integration | S$20,000 | S$10,000 |
| Warehouse Management | Logistics | Material transfer and storage in warehouses | S$45,000 | S$22,500 |
Non-SMEs receive up to 30%. Only software costs are supported, capped at 12 months, and GST and maintenance costs are excluded. Projects must be completed within 18 months of approval.
These sit within a S$30,000 sub-cap shared by single-function digital solutions, integrated enterprise systems and pre-scoped equipment, inside EDGE’s overall S$100,000 annual cap per company (1 April to 31 March).
When an ERP fits better
If you need inventory alongside finance, HR or projects, the Integrated ERP activity covers solutions with at least three functions, one of which can be Supply Chain and Inventory Management. Its cost cap is S$60,000. The FAQ says applications take about one week with a pre-approved vendor and ten weeks with a non-pre-approved vendor. Wholesalers can also look at the separate ERP Software for Wholesale activity.
How to check whether a solution qualifies
- Pick the activity that matches your sector and needs, using the table above.
- Find that category on SMEs Go Digital and confirm the vendor and exact package are listed.
- Check eligibility on the activity page: registered and operating in Singapore, at least 30% owned by Singaporeans or Singapore PRs, and not a home-based business.
Questions to ask an inventory software vendor:
- Which SMEs Go Digital package and EDGE activity does this quotation match?
- Does it handle our units, variants, batches or serial numbers, and our number of locations?
- Which POS, e-commerce and accounting systems does it sync with, and in which direction?
- What does it cost after the first 12 months, and what is the unique identifier for the claim?
What to look for in inventory software
Write down how stock moves in your business: receiving, storage, picking, sales across channels, returns and stocktakes. Then check the system handles each step without workarounds. Common needs are barcode scanning, several warehouses or outlets, batch or expiry tracking, reorder alerts, and a reliable sync to your POS, online shop and accounting software. Our guide to inventory management systems in Singapore covers this in more detail.
As an example of the features to compare, Zoho Inventory’s own website in October 2026 lists multichannel stock sync, barcode and RFID tracking, batch and serial number tracking, multiple warehouses, and integrations with Zoho Books, Xero and QuickBooks Online. It also lists a free plan limited to 50 orders a month, one user and two locations. This is an example only, not a statement about grant status.
How to apply, step by step
From Enterprise Singapore’s activity pages:
- Prepare documents: a vendor quotation and a projection of expected cost savings for one year after the project.
- Choose a vendor and solution on SMEs Go Digital.
- Get a quotation for that package.
- Build your solution package on SMEs Go Digital so it matches the quotation exactly.
- Confirm the package with your company’s Corppass to generate a package reference ID.
- Apply on the Business Grants Portal via the “Apply now” link on the activity page. Staff need the BGP Preparer and BGP Acceptor Corppass roles.
- Accept the Letter of Offer, then complete the project.
- Claim after deliverables are met and costs are paid in full, with a photo of the deployed software and its unique identifier. The FAQ says claims for digital solutions open from 1 November 2026.
Common mistakes
- Paying a deposit before applying. Retrospective applications are not supported, and no work or payment may start before submission.
- Choosing the wrong activity. The wholesale and logistics activities each name a specific sector, so check that yours matches before you build a package.
- Underestimating data clean-up. Item codes, units and opening stock need to be right before go-live, and that work usually sits outside the software cost.
- Letting the vendor apply. Third parties cannot apply for or manage the grant for you.
- Forgetting year two. Only 12 months of software costs are supported.
How FYAdvisers can help
FYAdvisers is a free concierge-led matching service. Describe how stock moves through your business, and a concierge confirms the requirements and introduces one to five providers that fit, whether an off-the-shelf inventory system or a custom build through app development firms. You check grant listings and quotations directly with them. To see how an inventory system and other purchases share the annual caps, use the EDGE grant calculator.
Frequently asked questions
Can I still apply for the PSG grant for an inventory system?
No. Enterprise Singapore says no new PSG applications are accepted after 30 September 2026. Applications submitted before then continue to be assessed, and ongoing projects are supported to completion. New inventory software purchases go through the EDGE Grant.
Which EDGE activity covers inventory software?
It depends on your business. On 13 October 2026, Enterprise Singapore listed Inventory and Sales Management for all sectors, Inventory Management for wholesale, Warehouse Management for logistics, and Accounting, Inventory and Sales Management for all sectors. Inventory can also be one function within an Integrated ERP.
How much support is available?
Up to 50% for SMEs and up to 30% for non-SMEs. Cost caps range from S$10,000 for Inventory and Sales Management to S$45,000 for Warehouse Management. Only software costs for up to 12 months are supported, and GST and maintenance are excluded.
Is a particular inventory app covered by EDGE?
We do not state that any product is covered. Supported packages are those listed by pre-approved vendors on IMDA's SMEs Go Digital platform. Check the relevant category there and ask the vendor which listed package their quotation matches.
Can a home-based business get EDGE support for inventory software?
The inventory, warehouse and combined accounting activity pages state that the business must not be home-based. Check the eligibility section of the specific activity page before you apply.
