The EDGE Grant is Enterprise Singapore's grant for new business projects, and it is now the scheme to use for software, equipment, consultancy and overseas expansion. It launched on 30 September 2026. The [Productivity Solutions Grant](/grants/psg-grant/), the Enterprise Development Grant and the Market Readiness Assistance grant ceased on 29 September 2026, according to Enterprise Singapore's [EDGE Grant page](https://www.enterprisesg.gov.sg/financial-support/edge-grant). SMEs can receive up to 50% support on standard activities, within a S$100,000 annual cap per company.

## What EDGE covers

Enterprise Singapore describes eight business areas with more than 150 activities. The areas named on its page include:

- Automation and Digitalisation
- Business Strategy
- Financial Management
- Innovation
- Internationalisation
- Standards
- Sustainability

Each activity has its own page with the support level, eligibility and documents required. You can also use the [BizSG](https://www.bizsg.gov.sg/) recommender to find suitable activities, or book an appointment with an Enterprise Singapore adviser.

## How support works

### Support levels

The [EDGE FAQ](https://www.enterprisesg.gov.sg/resources/all-faqs/edge-grant) sets out two tiers:

| Activity type | SMEs | Non-SMEs |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Standard activities | Up to 50% | Up to 30% |
| Internationalisation and sustainability | Up to 70% | Up to 50% |

An SME, for EDGE, has group annual sales of no more than S$100 million or group employment of no more than 200. The group includes companies that own more than 50% of the applicant and companies it owns more than 50% of.

### The annual cap

Each company can receive up to S$100,000 a year across all EDGE activities. The year runs from 1 April to 31 March, and you need to submit before 31 March to use that year's cap. Grants from PSG, EDG or MRA do not count towards it.

### The S$30,000 sub-cap

Within the S$100,000, up to S$30,000 can go towards single-function digital solutions, integrated enterprise systems and pre-scoped equipment. This sub-cap is the closest match to what PSG used to fund. The FAQ adds that selected single-function digital solutions and integrated enterprise systems are limited to one application per UEN, while pre-scoped equipment can cover multiple locations.

## Who can apply

- A business entity registered in Singapore.
- At least 30% Singaporean or permanent resident shareholding.
- Any extra conditions set by the activity you choose.

Non-profits, societies, religious bodies, voluntary welfare organisations, statutory boards and government subsidiaries are not eligible. You must still meet the criteria when you claim, or the claim will not be supported.

Businesses that received PSG, EDG or MRA funding can apply for EDGE, but not for the same project.

## How to check whether a solution or vendor qualifies

1. **Find the activity** on Enterprise Singapore's EDGE pages or BizSG.
2. **For single-function digital solutions**, browse vendors and solutions on IMDA's [SMEs Go Digital](https://smesgodigital.gov.sg) platform. Its package builder lets you adjust components such as staff numbers, implementation period and training.
3. **For an integrated ERP**, choose a pre-approved vendor's package or your own vendor. The solution needs at least three functions from Enterprise Singapore's list, which includes financial management, human resources management, supply chain and inventory management, and sales and customer relationship management. Processing takes about one week for a pre-approved vendor and about ten weeks for others.
4. **For standards projects**, there is no pre-approved list. Consultants must hold SS 680 certification.
5. **Ask the vendor** which EDGE activity applies, which cost components are supportable and what documents they will provide.

Do not rely on a vendor saying a product is "PSG approved". That listing applied to the old scheme.

## How to apply

1. **Prepare without committing.** Get quotations but do not pay a deposit or start work.
2. **Gather the documents your activity needs.** Requirements differ by activity. For Automation and Digitalisation, you need a current tenancy agreement showing you already operate at the location.
3. **Submit on the Business Grants Portal.** Only staff with the Corppass BGP Preparer or BGP Acceptor role can submit. Vendors and other third parties cannot submit for you.
4. **Receive the Letter of Offer.** This sets out the approved project and terms. Payment after submission but before approval may be supported if you are approved, but you carry the risk.
5. **Complete the project and pay in full.**
6. **Submit one final claim.** EDGE is paid by reimbursement only. Enterprise Singapore says claims open from 1 November 2026 for single-function solutions, integrated systems and pre-scoped equipment, and from 1 December 2026 for other activities.

## Common mistakes

- **Paying before you apply.** Any payment or deposit before submission makes the application retrospective, and it will not be supported.
- **Using up the sub-cap on the wrong tool.** The S$30,000 sub-cap is shared, and some solution types allow one application per UEN.
- **Switching vendor after approval.** This is not allowed. You would need to terminate and resubmit.
- **Planning around the grant instead of the need.** Pick the solution that fits your business, then check support.
- **Leaving the claim late.** You can request one extension before the claim due date. After that, the portal will not accept a claim.
