A digital marketing agency in Singapore plans and runs online marketing for your business: search engine optimisation (SEO), paid search and social ads, social media management, content and email. Most SMEs hire an agency on a monthly retainer for ongoing channels, or on a fixed-price project for a defined piece of work such as an SEO audit or a campaign launch. When comparing quotes, separate three things: the agency's fee, the ad spend you pay to platforms such as Google and Meta, and any one-off setup or production costs.

## What digital marketing agencies offer

Some agencies cover every channel; many are strongest in one or two. Ask what they do in-house and what they pass to partners.

### Search engine optimisation (SEO)

- Technical audits and fixes for site speed, indexing and structure
- Keyword research and content planning
- Writing and optimising pages and articles
- Local SEO, including Google Business Profile
- Link building and digital PR

### Paid ads

- Google Search, Shopping, Display and YouTube campaigns
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn and TikTok ads
- Landing pages and conversion tracking
- Ongoing bid, budget and creative testing

### Social media and content

- Social media calendars, posting and community management
- Content production: copy, graphics and short video
- Influencer campaigns
- Email marketing and automation

### Analytics and reporting

- Analytics and tag setup, conversion tracking and dashboards
- Monthly reports tied to leads, sales or other agreed goals

If your website itself needs rebuilding, a [web design](/find/web-design/) provider may need to come first. For video ads and content, see [video production companies](/find/video-production/).

## What it costs in Singapore

Fees depend on the channels, how competitive your market is, and how much content and reporting you need. From pages we checked in October 2026:

- A Singapore SEO pricing guide published in April 2026 by an SEO provider lists monthly retainers of S$1,500 to S$3,000 for local SEO at a single location, S$3,000 to S$6,000 for foundational SEO for established businesses, and S$6,000 to S$12,000 for a comprehensive programme. It lists project fees of S$3,000 to S$8,000 for a technical SEO audit and S$3,500 to S$10,000 for keyword research and content strategy.
- A Google Ads cost guide updated in September 2026 by a Singapore agency says management fees are usually 10% to 20% of ad spend, with flat monthly fees from about S$400 for small budgets, and some agencies charging a one-off setup fee from about S$500 per campaign. It notes that agencies charge on top of the ad budget.

These figures come from providers' own websites and are a starting point, not a quote.

### Retainers versus projects

- **Retainers** suit work that builds over time: SEO, ad management, social posting and reporting. Check the minimum term, notice period and what happens to unused hours.
- **Projects** suit defined outputs: an audit, a site migration, a campaign launch or a content strategy. Check the deliverables, milestones and number of revisions.

### Ad spend versus fees

Ad spend is paid to the platforms and buys the ads themselves. The agency fee pays for planning, setup, management and reporting. A percentage-of-spend fee rises as your budget grows; a flat fee is easier to plan for. Ask whether ad spend is billed to your own card or invoiced through the agency, and whether any mark-up applies.

Other cost drivers include content and creative production, landing pages, tracking setup, the number of platforms and languages, and the 9% GST.

## Singapore rules buyers should know

### Do Not Call rules for SMS and calls (PDPC)

The [Do Not Call provisions](https://www.pdpc.gov.sg/overview-of-pdpa/do-not-call-registry/business-owner/do-not-call-registry-and-your-business) form part of the PDPA. Before sending marketing messages by voice call, SMS or fax to Singapore numbers, organisations generally must check the DNC Registry unless they hold clear and unambiguous consent in evidential form. Responsibility stays with your business if an agency sends messages on your behalf, so confirm how they check numbers and record consent.

### Advertising standards (ASAS)

The Advertising Standards Authority of Singapore publishes the [Singapore Code of Advertising Practice](https://asas.org.sg/About/Code), which advertisers are expected to follow, and [guidelines for interactive and social media](https://asas.org.sg/About/Social-Media) that are read with it. Ask your agency how it handles claims, sponsored posts and influencer disclosure.

## How to choose a digital marketing agency

Look for recent results in a business like yours, explained in terms of leads or sales rather than only traffic or followers.

Questions to ask:

1. Which channels will you focus on for our goals, and why?
2. What exactly does the monthly fee include, and what is charged separately?
3. Is the fee flat or a percentage of ad spend, and is there any mark-up on media?
4. Will our ad, analytics and social accounts be owned by our company?
5. What is the minimum term and notice period, and what do we keep if we leave?
6. Who will work on our account day to day, and is any work outsourced?
7. How will you report results, and which numbers will you be judged on?
8. How do you handle PDPA, DNC checks and influencer disclosure?

## Red flags

- Guaranteed first-page rankings or a guaranteed number of leads
- Ad or analytics accounts set up in the agency's name, not yours
- Fees and ad spend combined into one figure with no breakdown
- Reports that show only impressions, clicks or followers
- Long lock-in contracts with no exit terms or handover plan
- Cheap SEO packages built on bulk link buying or spun content
- Vague answers about who does the work

## Frequently asked questions

### How does matching work?

You describe what you need: the channels (SEO, paid ads, social media, content), your goals, your monthly budget and whether you want a retainer or a one-off project. We hold a free concierge consultation by short call or email to clarify the brief. Then, with your consent, we introduce you to one to five agencies suited to it, as many as you choose. They contact you directly, and you decide whether to go ahead with any of them.

### Is it free?

Yes. It is free for businesses requesting a match. Providers pay FYAdvisers to receive matched requests. FYAdvisers does not run marketing campaigns itself.

### Should we choose a retainer or a project?

Ongoing work such as SEO, ad management and social media posting is usually sold as a monthly retainer, because results build over months. Defined pieces of work such as an SEO audit, a website migration, a campaign launch or a content strategy are usually priced as a project. Many businesses start with a project to test an agency, then move to a retainer.

### Is ad spend included in an agency's fee?

Usually not. Ad spend is what you pay the platforms, such as Google or Meta, for your ads to run. The agency's management fee is separate and is often a flat monthly fee or a percentage of ad spend. Ask for the two to be shown separately and keep the ad accounts in your company's name.

### How much does a digital marketing agency cost in Singapore?

It depends on channels and scope. Pages we checked in October 2026 show SEO retainers from about S$1,500 a month for local SEO at one provider, and Google Ads management fees at another described as usually 10% to 20% of ad spend, with ad spend paid separately. Ask each agency for an itemised proposal.
