# HubSpot vs Pipedrive: which CRM fits your sales team? (2026)

> Pipedrive is built for salespeople who live in a deal pipeline. HubSpot is a wider customer platform where sales is one part. For a Singapore SME the choice usually comes down to whether you need marketing and sales in one system, and how much you want to pay per seat. Prices below were checked on each vendor's site in October 2026.

## The verdict

**Choose Pipedrive** if your main need is a clear, visual sales pipeline that salespeople will actually update, at a predictable per-seat price. It suits B2B teams that sell through calls, meetings and proposals, and who do not need a full marketing platform in the same tool.

**Choose HubSpot** if marketing, sales and customer service should work from one contact database, if you want to start on a free CRM, or if inbound leads from your website and campaigns are a big part of how you sell.

Neither is the "better CRM" in general. Pipedrive is a sales tool; HubSpot is a customer platform with a sales product inside it.

## HubSpot vs Pipedrive at a glance

Prices were checked on each vendor's own website in October 2026. Both are shown in US dollars and exclude GST.

## Pricing in practice

Pipedrive's annual billing saves up to 42% compared with monthly billing, according to its pricing page. For a five-person team on Growth billed annually, list price is US$39 x 5 = US$195 per month, paid as one annual payment of US$468 per seat. Pipedrive also says implementation is free on plans over US$400 a year. Its add-ons are where costs grow: LeadBooster for lead capture and Campaigns for email marketing each carry their own fee, shown as "starting from" prices.

HubSpot's free CRM is genuinely usable for a small team that needs contacts, deals and basic email tracking. The cost rises sharply at Professional, which started at US$100 per seat per month in October 2026. Teams usually move up for sales automation and custom reporting, so check which tier first includes the features you need before you compare totals.

Because both bill in US dollars, your SGD cost moves with the exchange rate.

## Features

### Pipeline and daily selling

Pipedrive's interface is built around the deal pipeline. Each stage is a column, deals move by drag and drop, and activities are scheduled against each deal. Growth adds email automation and follow-ups; Premium and Ultimate add fuller sales-cycle tools. For teams that want salespeople focused on the next action, this simplicity is the point.

HubSpot also has pipeline boards, tasks and sequences, but its strength is context. A salesperson can see which pages a contact viewed, which emails they opened and which forms they submitted, because the marketing tools share the same database.

### Marketing

This is the clearest difference. HubSpot has a full marketing product built on the same records. Pipedrive offers a Campaigns add-on for email marketing and LeadBooster for capturing leads, which suits teams whose marketing is light. If you run regular campaigns, landing pages and lead scoring, HubSpot is the more natural fit.

### Integrations

Both have app marketplaces; Pipedrive's pricing page refers to more than 500 integrations. For Singapore SMEs, the important integrations are usually accounting software, WhatsApp or email, and e-signature. Test the specific integration you need during the trial, and check whether it syncs both ways.

## Singapore specifics

### Data residency

Pipedrive's support article says its AU (Sydney) region serves Asia and Pacific countries, though it does not name Singapore and notes that some accounts are hosted elsewhere. HubSpot lists US, EU, Canada and Australia data centres. Neither lists Singapore hosting. If a client contract requires data to stay in Singapore, check before you commit, or look at [HubSpot vs Zoho CRM](/compare/hubspot-vs-zoho-crm/), since Zoho lists a Singapore data centre.

### Invoicing and GST

Neither CRM files GST or issues InvoiceNow e-invoices for you. Those sit in your accounting software. Make sure the won deal can create a customer and invoice in your accounting system without retyping, either through an integration or [workflow automation](/services/workflow-automation/).

### Grants

The Productivity Solutions Grant closed to new applications after September 2026 and EDGE replaced it. We do not say either product is eligible. See our [CRM grant page](/grants/psg-grant-crm-software/) and the [EDGE grant calculator](/tools/edge-grant-calculator/).

## Ease of adoption

Pipedrive's narrow focus means there is less to learn. HubSpot is also approachable, but the platform is broader, and teams that switch on many features at once can overwhelm users. With either tool, start with one pipeline, a short list of required fields and a weekly review of stale deals.

## Questions to ask before you commit

- **Which tier first includes the features we need?** List must-haves such as email sequences, automation, custom fields and reporting, then match each to a plan on both pricing pages.
- **What will add-ons cost?** On Pipedrive, lead capture, email campaigns and document tools are separate add-ons. On HubSpot, some AI features use HubSpot Credits.
- **How will data come in?** Clean your spreadsheet before import: one row per contact, consistent company names and no duplicate email addresses.
- **What happens at renewal?** Note whether you are on an introductory offer, and what the price becomes afterwards.
- **Who owns the account?** Keep admin access in the business, not with one salesperson or an outside consultant.
- **Can we leave easily?** Check that you can export contacts, organisations, deals and activities in a usable format.

## Which should you choose?

- **Founder-led B2B sales with one to three people:** HubSpot's free CRM if budget is tight; Pipedrive Lite or Growth if you want a sharper pipeline tool from day one.
- **Outbound sales team of five to fifteen:** Pipedrive Growth or Premium usually gives the features they need at a lower per-seat cost.
- **Inbound-led business with active marketing:** HubSpot, so marketing and sales share data and reporting.
- **Business that also runs a service desk:** HubSpot, since service tools share the same contact records.
- **Team that must keep data in Singapore:** Check with each vendor, and consider Zoho CRM.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Pipedrive cheaper than HubSpot?

At the mid tiers, yes on list price. In October 2026 Pipedrive Growth was US$39 per seat per month billed annually, while HubSpot Sales Hub Professional started at US$100 per seat per month billed monthly. HubSpot's free CRM costs nothing, though, and Pipedrive has no free plan.

### Does Pipedrive have a free plan?

No free plan was shown on Pipedrive's pricing page in October 2026. It offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, and you can invite colleagues into the trial.

### Where is Pipedrive data hosted for Singapore customers?

Pipedrive's support article lists seven AWS hosting regions and says the AU (Sydney) region is for Asia and Pacific countries. It does not name Singapore specifically and notes that accounts can occasionally land elsewhere, so ask Pipedrive support to confirm your region.

### Can I move from Pipedrive to HubSpot later?

Yes. Both export and import contacts, organisations and deals. Activity history, email threads and custom automations take more work to move, so plan a cut-over date and clean your data first.

### Are these CRMs covered by PSG?

The Productivity Solutions Grant closed to new applications after September 2026 and has been replaced by EDGE. We do not claim any product is eligible. Check our grant pages and confirm with the agency.
