A corporate event in Singapore is usually budgeted per person, then adjusted for production, entertainment and the event company's fee. Published prices put a team building programme at roughly S$30 to S$80 per participant at one provider, and a full-day hotel meeting package from S$145++ per guest at one hotel, before service charge and GST. A dinner and dance, conference or product launch for a few hundred people combines venue, food, production and entertainment, so its cost depends far more on choices than on any standard rate.

Few event companies publish full prices. Most quote per event, and published figures usually cover one component. This guide gives the prices we could verify on providers' own websites in October 2026, then sets out what drives the rest of the budget.

## Published prices we found

| Component | Published price | Source and basis |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Team building, most programmes | S$30 to S$80 per participant | One team building provider's FAQ; GST basis not stated |
| Team building, outdoor | From S$30 per person | Same provider |
| Team building, indoor | From S$45 per person | Same provider |
| Team building, premium experiences | From S$80 per person | Same provider |
| Hotel full-day meeting package | From S$145++ per guest per day | One hotel's published offer |
| Hotel half-day meeting package | From S$130++ per guest per day | Same offer |

The team building provider lists a minimum of 10 participants and does not show a date on the page. The hotel offer is valid for new bookings made by 31 December 2026, for events held by 31 December 2027, and requires a minimum of 10 hotel rooms a night. It states that prices are subject to prevailing taxes and service charges.

Hotel dinner and dance packages are usually priced per table of 10 or per person, with a minimum number of guests, and marked "++". We could not confirm a current 2026 hotel dinner and dance rate from a page we could open, so ask venues for their current package sheet.

## How a corporate event budget breaks down

Most event quotes group costs into the same few lines. Ask for each one separately.

### Venue

Hotels and event venues charge by package per head, by minimum spend, or by a flat hire fee. Weekends, Friday nights and the year-end season cost more and book early.

### Food and drink

Menu choice, free-flow drinks, corkage and dietary options can move the total sharply. Ask what drinks are included and for how long.

### Production

Stage, lighting, sound, LED screens, live streaming and technicians are often the largest variable line for a dinner and dance, town hall or launch.

### Entertainment and talent

Emcees, performers, live bands, DJs and speakers are priced individually. Ask whether the fee includes rehearsal time, equipment and travel.

### Event management fee

Event companies either charge a management fee, mark up supplier costs, or both. Ask how the fee is calculated and whether supplier invoices are passed through at cost.

### Extras

Decor, photography, videography, printed materials, door gifts, transport and insurance all add up. For door gifts, our [corporate gift budget planner](/tools/corporate-gift-budget-planner/) helps you set a per-guest amount.

## What drives the cost

- **Headcount and minimums.** Venues and caterers often set minimum guest numbers or minimum spend, so a small group can pay more per head.
- **Date and season.** Year-end and festive dates are in high demand.
- **Format.** A team building half-day costs less than an evening dinner with a stage show.
- **Production level.** A lectern and screen cost far less than a full stage, LED wall and live stream.
- **Lead time.** Short notice limits venue choice and can add rush charges.
- **Permits.** Some formats need licences or police notices, which add time and sometimes fees.

## Hidden costs to check

- **Service charge and GST.** A "++" price excludes both. GST in Singapore is 9%. Use our [GST calculator](/tools/gst-calculator/) to work out GST on a quote, and ask the venue for its service charge so you can compare nett totals.
- **Overtime.** Venues and suppliers often charge for running past the agreed end time.
- **Corkage and outside suppliers.** Bringing your own drinks, decor or AV may carry a fee.
- **Cancellation and attrition.** Check deposits, cancellation terms and how much you pay if fewer guests attend than guaranteed.
- **Video and photos.** If you want a highlights video, see our guide to [video production costs](/blog/video-production-cost-singapore/).

## Ways to keep the cost down

- **Book early.** Popular venues and year-end dates go first, and early bookings give you more choice and room to negotiate.
- **Consider a weekday or lunchtime.** Off-peak slots are often easier to secure and may carry lower minimums.
- **Match production to the purpose.** A town hall needs clear sound and a screen; a full stage show may not add much.
- **Use the venue's packages.** Bundled food, drinks and basic AV can cost less than sourcing each item separately.
- **Confirm numbers carefully.** Guarantee a realistic headcount, since you usually pay for the guaranteed number even if fewer guests attend.
- **Combine events.** A team building session and dinner at one venue on one day saves on transport and set-up.

## Working out a per-head budget

Start from the total you can spend and divide by the expected headcount, then set aside a share for production, entertainment and contingency before choosing a venue. A per-head figure lets you compare a hotel package with an outside venue and caterer on equal terms, as long as both are converted to nett prices after service charge and GST.

## Permits that may apply

Many indoor corporate functions at an established venue need no extra licence, but some features do. GoBusiness says a [Public Entertainment Licence](https://www.gobusiness.gov.sg/browse-all-licences/Singapore-Police-Force-(SPF)/Public-Entertainment-Licence) is generally needed under the Public Entertainments Act 1958 for entertainment in a place to which the public, or any class of the public, has access, unless exempt. Serving alcohol, building temporary structures and very large crowds can trigger other requirements. Agree in writing who applies for each one. Our [corporate event matching page](/find/corporate-event-companies/) covers these rules in more detail.

## How to get comparable quotes

Event proposals often differ in concept, which makes prices hard to compare. Fix the facts first and send the same brief to every company:

1. The type of event and its purpose.
2. Date, or a range of dates, and start and end times.
3. Expected headcount and whether guests are staff, clients or the public.
4. Whether you already have a venue.
5. What you want the event company to handle: venue, catering, production, entertainment, gifts, photography.
6. Your budget, per head or in total.

Ask for an itemised quote with venue, food and drink, production, entertainment, management fee and extras shown separately, each marked as before or after service charge and GST. Ask for a written run sheet and confirm who your single point of contact is on the day. If proposals suggest different concepts, ask each company to price a simple version of its idea as well, so you can see how much of the difference comes from the concept rather than the basics.

## Where to look next

Browse the [corporate event directory](/directory/corporate-event-companies/) for Singapore event companies with their location and Google ratings. If you need door gifts or client gifts, see our ranking of [corporate gift suppliers in Singapore](/blog/best-corporate-gift-suppliers-singapore/).

If you would rather not chase proposals yourself, describe your event and a concierge will confirm your requirements, then introduce one to five event companies who will quote on the same brief. It is free for businesses.

## Frequently asked questions

### How much does team building cost per person in Singapore?

One Singapore team building provider says most programmes range from S$30 to S$80 per participant, with outdoor programmes from S$30, indoor programmes from S$45 and premium experiences from S$80 per person, for a minimum of 10 participants. Its page does not say whether GST is included.

### What does '++' mean on a Singapore venue price?

It means service charge and GST are added on top of the listed price. A hotel package at S$145++ per guest will cost more than S$145 per guest once both are applied, so ask the venue for the nett figure when you compare quotes.

### Why do event companies rarely publish prices?

Each event combines a different venue, date, headcount, menu, production and entertainment, so most event companies quote per event. Published 'from' prices tend to cover single components, such as a team building programme or a meeting package.

### Do we need a licence for a company event?

Not always. GoBusiness says a Public Entertainment Licence is generally needed for entertainment in a place the public, or a class of the public, can access. An invite-only staff event differs from a public launch, so ask your venue and event company which permits apply and who will apply.
