Registering a private limited company in Singapore costs S$315 in ACRA fees: S$15 for the name application and S$300 for registration. If you file yourself through Bizfile, that is the whole government cost. Most founders use a provider instead, and published packages we checked in October 2026 start at S$600 to S$648, including the ACRA fees and a year of company secretary service. Founders with no Singapore-resident director pay much more, because they also need a nominee director: published packages for that start at S$2,495 and S$3,772.

This guide breaks down the government fees, provider packages, extras and the costs that start in year two. Prices change, so check ACRA's and each provider's current pages before you budget.

## Government fees

| Fee | Amount (SGD) | Source |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Name application | 15, non-refundable | [ACRA](https://acra.gov.sg/register/business/choosing-reserving-a-business-name/reserving-bizfile/) |
| Local company registration | 300 | [ACRA](https://acra.gov.sg/how-to-guides/setting-up-a-local-company/submitting-your-application-to-acra) |
| Total to register | 315 | |
| Annual return, each year | 60 | ACRA fee, as listed in providers' published plans |

## Provider packages at a glance

All figures come from providers' own websites and price guides in October 2026. They are starting prices, not quotes.

| Package | Published price (SGD) | Source and basis |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Standard incorporation with 12 months of company secretary service | 648 all-in | One provider's September 2026 price guide; includes the S$315 ACRA fees; the guide says it does not add GST to this price |
| Incorporation with nominee director and 12 months of secretary service | 2,495 | Same provider; a complete package, not an add-on |
| Incorporation with Employment Pass application, two months of nominee director and 12 months of secretary service | 4,650 | Same provider |
| Registered office address with mail handling | 245 a year | Same provider |
| Incorporation with secretary, for local founders | From 600 | A second provider's May 2026 guide; GST basis not stated |
| Package for locals with registered address, bookkeeping and accounting support | From 1,472 | Second provider |
| Starter package for foreign founders, with three months of nominee director | From 2,438 | Second provider; includes government fees |
| Package for foreign founders with one year of nominee director | From 3,772 | Second provider; includes government fees |

The first provider's guide works out its own professional fee on the standard package at S$333, after the S$315 in ACRA fees. That kind of breakdown is worth asking every provider for.

## What drives incorporation cost

### Residency of the directors

Every company needs at least one director who meets ACRA's local residency rules. Singapore citizens, permanent residents and holders of certain work passes qualify. If none of the founders does, a nominee director is usually the largest extra, and it continues every year until a resident director is appointed.

### Who files

Singapore residents with Singpass can file themselves. ACRA says foreigners must engage a registered corporate service provider to reserve a name and register the company.

### What is bundled

The cheapest packages cover incorporation and a first year of secretary service. Others add a registered address, bookkeeping, tax filing, bank account introductions or work pass support. Compare what each package includes, not just the price.

### Registered address

A company needs a Singapore registered office address that ACRA says must be open to the public for at least three hours each business day. If you have no suitable address, a provider's service adds a yearly fee.

### Shareholder structure

Corporate shareholders, several share classes or foreign shareholders mean more documents and checks, and can raise the price.

### Work passes

A founder relocating to Singapore needs a work pass from MOM. Support for an Employment Pass or EntrePass is usually priced separately or in a higher package. MOM's own application fees are separate again.

## Doing it yourself versus using a provider

Filing yourself costs only the S$315 in ACRA fees, but it covers registration alone. You still need to prepare the constitution and first resolutions, set up the statutory registers, appoint a qualified company secretary within six months, provide a registered address and apply for Corppass. ACRA also says only the person who reserved the name can file the registration, and that person must be a director or secretary of the new company.

A provider package bundles this work with a year of secretary service. For a local founder with a suitable address, the difference between filing yourself and the cheapest published packages is a few hundred dollars. For foreign founders, there is no do-it-yourself option: ACRA requires a registered corporate service provider.

## Hidden and ongoing costs

The registration fee is a one-off. These costs keep coming:

- **Company secretary renewal.** One provider lists S$328 a year after the first year, including the S$60 annual return fee.
- **Registered address renewal.** S$245 a year at the same provider.
- **Accounting and tax.** Once the company trades, bookkeeping, financial statements and corporate tax filing apply. The same provider lists bookkeeping from S$110 a month, unaudited financial statements from S$350 a year and tax filing at S$500 a year, or a S$990 a year bundle of secretary, financial statements and tax filing. See our [accounting fees guide](/blog/accounting-fees-singapore/).
- **Nominee director renewal.** If you use one, it is a yearly cost, sometimes with a deposit.
- **Late filing.** ACRA lists late filing penalties for annual returns of S$300 up to three months after the deadline and S$600 after that.
- **Extras.** Corppass registration and a company stamp may be charged separately. One provider lists S$100 and S$60 respectively.
- **GST.** Some providers state that they do not add GST; others do not say.

## How to get comparable quotes

Send each provider the same brief:

1. The business activity and proposed company name.
2. The number of shareholders and directors, and whether any shareholder is a company.
3. Where each director lives, and whether any is a Singapore citizen, PR or work pass holder.
4. Whether you need a registered address.
5. Whether any founder needs a work pass.
6. What you want after incorporation: secretary, accounting, tax, payroll.

Ask for an itemised quote that separates ACRA fees from the provider's fee, lists the first-year total and the year-two renewal price, and states whether GST is included. For a nominee director, ask for the fee, deposit, indemnity and exit terms in writing.

Before you sign, check that the provider is registered with ACRA as a corporate service provider. ACRA says you can check this on Bizfile.

## Grants

Company registration fees are a one-off setup cost, and we are not aware of an Enterprise Singapore grant that covers them, so we have not included grant information here. Once your company is trading, our [EDGE Grant guide](/grants/edge-grant/) explains the main grant for business upgrading projects.

## Where to look next

Our [company incorporation matching page](/find/company-incorporation/) sets out ACRA's rules on directors, secretaries, registered addresses and Corppass in more detail. If you would rather have quotes come to you, describe your plans there and a concierge will introduce one to five registered corporate service providers who will quote on the same brief. For the yearly cost of a company secretary after setup, see our [corporate secretary fees guide](/blog/corporate-secretary-fees-singapore/), and for providers that handle both, our [ranking of corporate secretarial services](/blog/best-corporate-secretarial-services-singapore/).

## Frequently asked questions

### What is ACRA's company registration fee?

ACRA lists a S$15 name application fee, which is non-refundable, and a S$300 registration fee for a local company. That is S$315 in government fees. Provider packages are on top, though many quote an all-in price that includes the ACRA fees.

### Can I register a company myself to save money?

If you are a Singapore citizen, permanent resident or other person with Singpass access who will be a director or secretary, you can file through Bizfile and pay only ACRA's fees. You still need a company secretary within six months and a registered address. Foreigners must use a registered corporate service provider.

### How much does a nominee director cost?

Few providers publish standalone prices. One provider lists a complete incorporation package with a nominee director at S$2,495, and another lists packages for foreign founders that include a nominee director from S$3,772. Expect terms such as a deposit and indemnity, and get them in writing.

### What will the company cost in its second year?

Ongoing costs include the S$60 ACRA annual return fee, company secretary service, a registered address if you use one, and accounting and tax filing once the company trades. One provider lists secretary renewal at S$328 a year including the ACRA fee, and a registered address at S$245 a year.
